How do I return an item?

Shipping:


We ship all orders in 1-2 business days and sometimes the same day.  We ship 6 days a week – Monday – Saturday.  


Domestic Shipping


We ship all US orders via USPS Priority Mail.  The estimated delivery time is 3-5 days but this is not a guarantee.  When you receive your shipping notification email, it will contain a tracking number that will allow you to track your package.  When you click on your tracking number, it will take you to www.USPS.com and you will be able to see the status of your shipment.


International Shipping


We ship all International packages via First class mail.  The shipping cost is based on weight and will be calculated for you at check out.  


All packages shipped internationally must be under $400 in value and weight less than 4 pounds.  If your order is over $400 or weighs over 4 pounds, you will see a message on your packing slip indicating that we will contact you with shipping costs.  We will calculate the cost, contact you via email and send you an invoice via Paypal for the shipping costs.  


All international customers are responsible for your country's customs fees and duties. Customs forms are filled out in accordance with U.S. and international law to accurately reflect value and contents of the package. Please do not ask us to mislabel your customs forms; we will not do this.


Lost Orders


While very rare, in the unlikely event that your order is lost in the mail, we are happy to mail out replacements for any orders shipped via Priority Mail once we have confirmed with the USPS that the order has been lost. Unfortunately, we cannot provide replacements on orders shipped via First Class mail as these packages can not be tracked or insured, particularly internationally.


We want you to be thrilled with every purchase you make from Doodlebugyarn.com but understand that sometimes things may not work out.  


Returns:


We accept returns on all new, full-priced yarn within 60 days of purchase as long as it is received back in saleable condition. All returns must be pre-authorized, so please email us with issues prior to shipping items back.


We do not accept returns on the following items:

- Sale items including yarn

- Yarn that has been wound or used

- Needles or hooks

- Patterns

- Gift Certificates


All returns must meet these criteria and have a Doodlebugyarn return authorization number.


We will issue a refund for the full amount minus any shipping charges for the original shipment.


Any reward points earned on returned items will be deducted from your account. 


If you return items that are not eligible for return, we will contact you to return them to you at your cost.


We try to always pack your order accurately and get it on it’s way to you quickly.  But, if for some reason we have made an error, we will get it fixed quickly and at our cost.  Please send an email to gayla@doodlebugyarn.com with a description of the issue and we’ll get back to you right away with a solution.  


Exchanges:


If you need to exchange a yarn, please return the yarn to us as above and go ahead and place your new order through the website.  We’ll process your return as soon as it arrives.  If you need to make an exchange due to a defect, please send us an email so we can determine the best way to help you in advance.
